Professional Vitamin D3 + K2 Supplements Manufacturer
KS Nutripharma is a vitamin D3 + K2 supplement manufacturer for OEM, ODM, and private-label programs. We manufacture finished vitamin D3 and K2 supplements as oil-fill softgels, liquid drops, and selected tablet or capsule SKUs — including calcium combination programs when minerals are on the BOM.
Name the D3 IU, K2 form (MK-7 or MK-4) and mcg, oil system, mineral load, dosage form, packaging, and testing requirements. We quote from that specification.

D3, K2, MK-7 and MK-4: Specification Guide for Supplements
On an RFQ, “vitamin D3 + K2” should still name D3 identity and K2 form. D3/D2 and K1/K2 are separate specifications.
Ingredient term | Specify on the document | Do not substitute with |
|---|---|---|
| Vitamin D3 | Cholecalciferol + IU + method | D2 |
| Vitamin K2 | Menaquinone form + mcg + method | K1 |
| MK-7 | Menaquinone-7 + mcg; all-trans if claimed | MK-4 |
| MK-4 | Menaquinone-4 + mcg | MK-7 |
| Lichen D3 | Vegan cholecalciferol documentation | Lanolin D3 |
Send a CoA or BOM. We check D3 identity, K2 form, oil system, and mineral load (tablet vs second SKU) before quoting.
Custom Vitamin D3 + K2 Formulation for Private Label SKUs
Starting architectures for vitamin D3 with K2 finished SKUs. Pick the closest card or send a BOM. KS formulation team and R&D center confirm D3 IU and K2 form/mcg against that BOM. Identity follows the table above.
A common starting point for oil-fill D3 + K2 in immune support assortments. Lock cholecalciferol IU, MK-7 mcg, carrier oil, shell type, and all-trans specification where claimed.
Watch-out: High-IU plus MK-7 pairings on this page are development architectures, not a universal label dose. Dry powders use a different process from oil-fill softgels.
D3 plus named MK-4 in one combination SKU. Lock D3 IU, MK-4 mcg and identity, oil, and serving count if split. Softgel typical.
Watch-out: MK-7 and MK-4 are separate menaquinone files.
Three oil-soluble actives in one fill. Lock D3 IU, MK-7 mcg, MK-4 mcg, three Supplement Facts lines, fill volume, oil, and shell.
Watch-out: Three assays. Fill volume can force a larger die or a split serving.
Oil-soluble D3 + K2 plus a magnesium salt. Lock D3 IU, K2 form/mcg, Mg salt and elemental mg, and one bottle vs dual SKU (softgel + tablet/capsule). Beadleted D3/K2 in a tablet is an alternate path.
Watch-out: 400 mg elemental magnesium does not fit a mini oil softgel. Oxide and glycinate differ in elemental-magnesium density, tablet mass, and formulation characteristics. Tolerability language follows destination-market review.
A calcium + D3 + K2 brief should specify elemental calcium, D3 IU, K2 form/mcg, and format. Lock Ca salt, tablet count or chew, and whether D3/K2 are beadlets in the tablet or a companion softgel. Calcium supplements stay a mineral-load file.
Watch-out: Carbonate vs citrate changes mass and acid. 1,000 mg elemental calcium belongs in a tablet or chew, not in one mini oil softgel.
Two elemental minerals plus D3 and K2. Lock both salts and elemental milligrams, D3 IU, K2 form/mcg, and the format split (mineral tablet ± oil softgel).
Watch-out: Multi-ingredient retail liquids are a new liquid project, not this default card.
Lichen D3, vegan MK-7, vegan oil, and a vegan softgel shell (starch/carrageenan) or vegan drops. Lock lichen D3 documentation and soy-free MK-7 if required.
Watch-out: Lanolin D3 is a different source file. A vegan softgel shell is a different PO from an HPMC two-piece capsule.
Zinc (dry) on a D3+K2 brief. Lock zinc salt and elemental mg, D3 IU, K2 form/mcg, and dual SKU vs tablet with beadlets. Copper only if the claim file requires it.
Watch-out: Zinc stays out of the oil fill. Cold-related claims require separate destination-market review.
Fish or algal oil plus D3 plus MK-7 in one softgel family. Lock EPA/DHA target, oil source, oxidation limits (peroxide/anisidine as scoped), D3 IU, MK-7 mcg, allergen requirements, and shell.
Watch-out: A token omega milligram quotes differently from a labeled EPA/DHA load. Oxidation control sits on the oil file.
Metered IU and mcg per drop or per mL. Lock oil (MCT or named), dropper calibration, light protection, and child-resistant pack if required. Pediatric labeling only if the brief names a children’s SKU.
Watch-out: Softgel potency specifications cannot be transferred to a liquid-drop SKU. Final dose accuracy must be verified on the bottled product.
B12, boron, or vitamin A can be named on F01 or F07 when the BOM includes them.
K2 Form Selection for D3 + K2 Products
For combination SKUs, choose MK-7 or MK-4 (or both) for formulation compatibility, mcg conversation, and format. For deeper K2-specific specifications, see Vitamin K2 supplement manufacturer.
Choose the D3 + K2 Format: Softgels, Capsules, Tablets or Liquid
Each dosage form requires its own formulation and process review.
Gummies after a dedicated pilot: heat, sugar system, and oil-soluble assay per piece.
Vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 are oil-soluble, so vitamin D3 K2 supplement softgels are developed around the oil phase, fill volume, potency uniformity, light exposure, and shell integrity. Specify die size, fill weight, seam, gelatin vs vegan gel (plant-gel system), and named carrier oil.
→ Softgel Solutions
Two-piece capsules can be considered when D3/K2 are supplied in suitable dry or beadlet forms alongside mineral ingredients. Specify HPMC or gelatin shell, beadlet grade, and fill weight. Oil in a hard capsule is a different process from a rotary-die softgel.
→ Hard Capsules
Compression, hardness, disintegration, and coating when elemental calcium or a high magnesium load sets unit mass. If D3/K2 are delivered as beadlets, formulation and compression must protect beadlet integrity and maintain assay through tableting. Tablet production needs a separate compression and assay review even when vitamins started as a softgel BOM.
→ Tablets
Metered IU and mcg per drop without a capsule count. Specify dropper calibration, oil, light-protective pack, and assay per mL on the bottled liquid. Dose accuracy and light protection are the manufacturing controls that matter for an oil-based drop.
→ Liquids
Commercial serving size is set during formulation from the finished SKU, assay basis, format capacity, and destination-market label requirements.
1,000 / 2,000 / 5,000 IU and 45–200 mcg MK-7 are formulation-development examples on this page, not universal recommended intake levels. MK-4 mcg is set on F02/F03 as its own line.
IU:mcg pairing is label architecture. Example: if the oil fill is quoted as 5,000 IU D3 and 100 mcg MK-7 per softgel, Supplement Facts shows both lines with methods. Changing MK-7 to MK-4 is a new specification.
Study exposures are not automatic label doses.
High elemental calcium or magnesium can exceed the practical fill capacity of an oil softgel. Depending on the target dose, the formulation may require a tablet, chewable, or separate mineral SKU.
| Mineral target | Typical format path |
|---|---|
| High elemental magnesium (e.g. 400 mg) | Tablet, chew, or dual SKU — not a mini oil softgel |
| High elemental calcium (e.g. 1,000 mg) | Tablet or chew; D3/K2 as beadlets or a companion softgel |
| Zinc (dry) | Out of the oil fill; tablet with beadlets or dual SKU |
Control path: Approved specification → Incoming QC → In-process checks → Finished QC → QA release.
Results outside the agreed specification are placed on hold for investigation. The batch is released only after the deviation is resolved under a documented QA procedure.
Stage | What we decide |
|---|---|
| Incoming | D3 identity and IU method; K2 form and mcg method; oil quality as scoped; micro; metals |
| In-process | Fill weight and seam (softgel); hardness (tablet); dropper fill (liquid) |
| Finished | Separate D3 and K2 assays vs the sample spec; micro; pack |
| Potency / uniformity | D3, K2, and beadlets where used |
| Dual-SKU control | Correct component, count, and lot linkage |
| Release | Batch COA: identity · potency (each analyte + method) · safety · physical. Retain sample |
In-house lab plus SGS/Eurofins when the RFQ requires a third-party report. Quality control documents that path.
Challenge | Sample-plan focus |
|---|---|
| IU vs mcg | Two units, two label lines |
| MK-7 vs MK-4 | Form named on COA and artwork |
| Incomplete vegan documentation | Lichen D3 + vegan MK-7 + vegan gel |
| Liquid dose | Calibration + bottled assay |
| Oil oxidation | Peroxide/anisidine as scoped (especially F09) |
| Softgel seam | Leak and fill weight |
| All-trans MK-7 if claimed | Method on the same file |

Supplier question | What a strong answer includes |
|---|---|
| Can they name D3 identity and IU? | Named cholecalciferol, IU, assay method, COA |
| Can they distinguish MK-7 from MK-4? | Named form + mcg + method on spec and COA |
| Can they support oil-fill and mineral formats separately? | Softgel vs tablet vs dual SKU — see serving architecture |
| Can they document vegan D3/K2 sourcing? | Lichen D3 + vegan MK-7 + vegan gel documentation |
| Can they control the oil system? | Named oil; peroxide/anisidine as scoped |
| Can they release finished batches? | Separate D3 and K2 finished assays; QA hold/release; batch COA |
| Can they support third-party testing? | Defined SGS/Eurofins pathway when the RFQ requires it |
Pack selection starts with light and oxygen sensitivity, then dosage form, count, shelf-life target, market requirements, and shipping conditions.
HDPE or PET bottles with induction sealing are common starting configurations for softgels. Opaque or light-protective packs are evaluated against the oil and dating requirements. A desiccant can be added when the product and packaging specification require it.
Dual-SKU kits (mineral tablet + vitamin softgel) need two counts, two lots, and one carton as scoped. Drops: dropper calibration, light-protective bottle, child-resistant closure if required.
Supplement Facts lists D3 IU and K2 form + mcg as separate lines. Structure/function review before artwork freeze. Softgel count conversations often 30 / 60 / 90 / 120. Language, notification numbers, vitamin K antagonist warnings where required, and units follow the destination market. Shelf life is established from the formulation, packaging, storage conditions, and supporting stability data.
| Cost and schedule driver | What changes the quote |
|---|---|
| D3 / K2 materials | IU, form, mcg, lichen vs lanolin D3, all-trans if claimed |
| Formula | Minerals, omega-3, dual SKU |
| Format | Softgel vs tablet vs drops vs gummy |
| Pack | Bottle, blister, dropper, carton |
| Market | Testing panel, documentation, label review |
Planning ranges
Indicative planning ranges; actual timing starts after specification and artwork requirements are confirmed.
| Stage | Planning range |
|---|---|
| Sample | 7–15 days after the specification is approved |
| Pilot | 15–25 days |
| Mass production | 30–45 days after approval and scheduling |
| Scope | Typical starting range |
|---|---|
| Softgels | ~3,000–5,000 units |
| Tablets | ~5,000–10,000 units |
| Liquid drops | Project-scoped |
| Gummies | Project-scoped |
| Bulk oil or powder on the project | Quoted by kg |
Vegan gel, omega-3 oxidation panels, dual-SKU kits, and new droppers add feasibility time before the sample clock. Bulk kg MOQ and finished-unit MOQ are separate.
The same project can cover raw-material specifications, formulation, dosage form, packaging, testing and finished-batch release, so the brand does not need to coordinate these steps separately.
D3 + K2 products may be classified as dietary or food supplements depending on the destination market. Combination artwork still needs local review. Human data for D3 and for K2 are compound- and product-specific; study exposures are not automatic label doses.
Review before production typically covers:
- Destination-market classification
- Vitamin D3 / K2 form and units on Supplement Facts
- Structure/function or health-claim wording
- Vitamin K antagonist-related labeling, including warfarin-related language where applicable
- Artwork review against the approved specification
Brand owners remain responsible for finished-label compliance with local counsel.
