Powder Supplement OEM/ODM/Private Label
KS Nutripharma® is a powder supplement manufacturer and powder contract manufacturer from our China production base for export nutraceutical brands. Send us a formula, ingredient list, or target application. We can develop a production-ready powder formulation or multi-ingredient premix — then supply it as a finished powder, bulk intermediate, or downstream-ready material for stick, sachet, tub, beverage, tablet, capsule, or other next-step processes.
- Formula integration, powder engineering, blending, and dry or wet granulation as the file requires; dispersibility / instantization routes confirmed against composition and target performance
- Stick packs, sachets, canisters/tubs, pouches, and bulk
- Finished retail units or premix / manufacturing intermediates
- Commercial starting points: 3,000 finished powder units · 5,000 sachets · 30,000 sticks · 300 kg bulk; typical production lead 25–30 days for standard powder files and 15–30 days for sticks after formula and production specifications are confirmed
The value of a custom premix is not the mixing step alone. It is the defined powder specification, controlled blend, process compatibility, and repeatable bulk material delivered for the customer’s next production step.
What KS Nutripharma® Can Deliver
Finished Powder
Retail-ready powder: blending through filling, packaging, and finished-product release — stick, sachet, tub, pouch, or packed bulk as scoped. May be a simple formulation or a multi-ingredient premix, depending on the brief.
Custom Powder Premix
Multi-ingredient blend developed for packing or further formulation — ingredient integration, ratio, carriers, particle compatibility, flow, dispersion, and flavor as required. Premix names the blend composition and control state — not the packing format alone.
Manufacturing Intermediate
A defined powder or granule supplied in bulk for the customer’s next production step — for example tablet compression, capsule filling, beverage manufacturing, or other downstream processing (typical starting quantity 300 kg). An intermediate may also be a premix; the two terms are not interchangeable — one names the blend, the other its place in the manufacturing chain.
OEM, ODM, and private-label projects all run through these three outputs. The first review identifies which output applies.

Powder Engineering for Multi-Ingredient Formulas
Premix development is not only weighing ingredients into a mixer. We assess ingredient compatibility and powder behavior, control the variables that affect uniformity, flow, moisture and dispersion, then select the processing route that fits the intended application.
- 1. Low-Dose Actives
Low-dose ingredients can be difficult to distribute uniformly in a high-carrier blend. We evaluate carrier selection, premixing and blending sequence, then verify blend uniformity against the agreed specification and intended handling process.
- 2. High-Serving-Weight Formulas
When a formula carries large grams of protein, fiber, greens, or other bulk ingredients, we assess active loading, bulk density, fill weight and powder volume to determine a workable pack and filling route.
- 3. Hygroscopic & Caking-Prone Formulas
Moisture, hygroscopicity, carrier / excipient selection, and packaging requirements are considered together. Clumping, poor flow, and powder handling at the filling and sealing stage are evaluated against the intended pack format.
- 4. Flow, Density & Segregation
Particle-size distribution and bulk density are evaluated across the blend because they affect segregation, filling accuracy, and downstream processing. Blend design and processing conditions aim to maintain uniformity through the intended production step.
- 5. Drink & Instant Powders
For beverage applications, we assess wetting, dispersibility, and dissolution behavior against the target formula and processing route. Instantization or other powder-processing options are considered where technically suitable. Instant powder is not simply finer milling; clear or low-turbidity targets apply only where materials and architecture allow.
- 6. Downstream Manufacturing Intermediates
Powders supplied for tablets, capsules, or further beverage processing are specified around the next manufacturing step, not treated as generic bulk powder. Density, flow, moisture, and particle characteristics are written for that process.
Lot-To-Lot Consistency — repeat batches are produced against the same defined premix specification and agreed process controls, allowing batch results to be compared on a consistent basis.
- 7. Example
The same ingredient blend may require different powder specifications depending on its next use. A tablet-bound intermediate may need a different particle-size, density, moisture, and flow profile from the same blend intended for a drink powder.
A usable OEM powder quote still needs a shared commercial basis: serving size, powder or granule route, pack or downstream destination, and testing — not a flavor screenshot alone.
The route follows the formula and the final application — not a machine list.
| Route | When It Fits |
|---|---|
| Direct Blend | Compatibility, flow, and uniformity can be achieved through controlled blending. |
| Dry Granulation | Particle characteristics or downstream handling require a granulated powder without wet binder. |
| Wet Granulation | Binder-assisted strength, compressibility, or handling is required; moisture-sensitive actives may fail this path. |
| Instantization / Dispersibility Processing | The formula needs improved wetting or dispersion in a beverage. The applicable process route is confirmed against powder composition and target performance. |
Format selection follows serving weight, powder behavior, and downstream requirements.
Format | Typical Use | Main RFQ Variables |
|---|---|---|
| Stick | Single-serve drink mix | Fill weight, flow, film barrier |
| Sachet | Single-serve / larger fill | Fill weight, barrier, seal |
| Tub / Pouch | Multi-serve powder | Density, scoop mass, moisture |
| Bulk Premix | B2B / downstream use | Particle size, density, moisture, lot size |
| Granules | Filling or downstream processing | PSD, strength, flow, residual moisture |
Finished Route: Raw material → powder processing → blending → testing → filling → packaging
Intermediate Route: Raw material → premix / granulation → intermediate testing → customer’s downstream process
Not every granule is suitable for capsule filling or tablet compression. Suitability is confirmed before the intermediate is released for shipment. → tablet manufacturing · hard capsule manufacturing; fill behavior: powder flow and bulk density for capsule filling
Two powders with the same nominal ingredient name may not share the same specification or manufacturing route. Lock assay basis and method before comparing quotations.
| Specification | Why It Matters | Typical Control |
|---|---|---|
| Ingredient identity / source / form | Defines the raw-material and quote basis | Species · source · form |
| Extract ratio / DER | Defines the extract basis before comparing suppliers | Declared ratio vs native powder / herb equivalent |
| Marker + assay method | Defines active basis before comparing suppliers | HPLC / UV / GC as applicable |
| Carrier / excipient system | Affects density, flow, flavor delivery, active loading, and label composition | Carrier identity · use level · functional role |
| Particle size & bulk density | Affect flow, fill weight, pack size, scoop, stick dimensions | Mesh, sieve distribution, or PSD as applicable · poured / tapped density |
| Moisture / hygroscopicity | Affect clumping, flow, stability, barrier | Moisture or Aw limit |
| Flowability | Affects stick, sachet, and tub filling | Flow / fill trial as scoped |
| Solubility / dispersibility | Critical for drink mixes | Dispersion / appearance target |
| Blend uniformity | Critical for multi-active and low-dose-in-high-carrier blends | Uniformity method as scoped |
| Destination use + release tests | Finished SKU vs intermediate; CoA fields | Finished vs intermediate file · named assays / micro / contaminants |
At minimum:
Ingredient identity / source → assay basis → serving size → carrier / excipient system → processing route → performance target → pack or downstream destination → quantity → release testing.
Performance targets (when they apply) may include solubility, dispersibility, appearance, flow, or density. A drink premix, a tablet-ready intermediate, and a retail stick are different quotation bases.
Formula/Premix Project
Specification: Ingredient specifications · target ratio · serving basis · processing route · premix specification
Delivery: Sample / pilot material · commercial bulk lot as scoped · batch CoA and agreed testing
Lot-to-lot comparisons use the same defined premix basis.
Finished Powder Project
Specification: Finished formula · agreed flavor and pack specification
Delivery: Finished units · batch release documentation · CoA / testing package
Downstream Intermediate
Specification: Particle / density / moisture (and other process variables) for the next step
Delivery: Bulk lot · intermediate testing / CoA · traceable lot documentation
Commercial production starts after formulation lock, artwork approval when packing, and pilot confirmation.
Powder manufacturing is performed under the applicable dietary-supplement cGMP requirements for the operation. For premix programs, the chain is ingredient identity → source → specification → assay → CoA → formula integration → premix production.
- Incoming — actives, carriers, flavors, and packaging released against the SKU or premix file
- In-process — checks defined by the specification
- Finished-product / premix testing — identity/assay and other tests named for that file
- Traceability and CoA — from input lots to packed or bulk lot; see how to read a CoA
- Documentation support for destination-market files as scoped — not legal or registration agency service
A raw-material CoA does not define finished-product release. Raw-material CoAs support incoming release; finished products and released premixes are tested against the agreed specification and applicable release requirements. Factory QC systems, in-process control, and release documentation: quality control.
Finished powder units, sachets, sticks, and bulk kilograms are different quote bases. Stick starts are higher than a standard tub or pouch program because of film and line setup.
| Format | Typical Starting Quantity | Typical Production Lead Time After Formula And Production Specifications Are Confirmed |
|---|---|---|
| Powder (Tub / Pouch / Jar) | 3,000 finished powder units | 25–30 days |
| Sachet | 5,000 sachets | Confirmed at quotation |
| Stick Pack | 30,000 sticks | 15–30 days |
| Bulk / Premix / Intermediate | 300 kg | Often aligns with powder 25–30 days; confirmed at quote |
Powder Processing Capacity: 5,000 t/year
Granulation Capacity: 500 kg/day
Both are subject to formulation, equipment, and production scheduling. Quality systems and certifications include cGMP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, FSSC 22000, Halal, and Kosher, as applicable to the manufacturing operation — see certifications and compliance.
Pilot timing is confirmed after the formula and test scope are defined. Custom film, first-time wet granulation scale-up, or non-stock pack extend the clock. Re-orders on a frozen file are shorter than a first commercial run.
